The Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

The Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses takes on many responsibilities, which include formulating doctrine, and policies which govern the beliefs and lives of their followers – the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

The current teaching is that the Governing Body is that the sole leader “appointed” to lead the JW population is the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses, not Jesus. The Watchtower consistently uses the term “organization” such as – Jehovah’s organization, God’s organization, the organization, etc. In reality, it is the Governing Body who hides behind the term organization – which is believed to be God’s spokesperson on earth.

The organization is structured in such a complex way that it is nearly impossible to separate Jehovah God from the authority of the Governing Body. To disagree or rebel against the Governing Body is no different than disagreeing with or rebelling against Jehovah God Himself. Independent thinking is strictly forbidden.

The Governing body is believed to be the faithful and wise servant found in Matthew 24:45. Such an interpretation gives the Governing Body all the credibility to govern its authority over the Witness population; however, for the sake of brevity, I will focus on two problems this brings: 1) the Governing Body readily admits that it is not inspired of God such as the Bible writers were. Because the Governing Body is not inspired of God, it has no authority or divine appointment or credibility to lead their Witnesses. 2) In Hebrew numerology, the number eleven represents “imperfection, disorder and incompleteness.” What does this say about the number of those who run the organization?

Today’s Jehovah’s Witnesses have subjected themselves to an uninspired Governing Body which hide behind the term, “organization” – which means they have never heard from God. This is a problem. If the Governing Body has never heard from God, then the organization is man-made and uses tactics to maintain discipline and order – only to please an uninspired organization: the Governing Body/Jehovah God.

These are two points you can use to challenge the authority of the Governing Body to weaken the Jehovah’s Witnesses confidence in the Watchtower organization. Once these seeds have been planted, the Witnesses eyes will soon be open to the deception they have submitted themselves to.
